Supposedly, Harper lobbied hard for Kintzler, arguing that he's a great teammate. I also read somewhere on this forum that Coonrod credited Kintzler for being a mentor to him. And, I remember back in Spring Training how he had a certain "to heck with what happened with last year's bullpen" bravado about the coming season's bullpen. Unfortunately, we signed him to get results on the mound, first and foremost, and he has been as bad as anyone we trotted out there from the bullpen last year. The Marlins are now looking smart for declining his option, a move that some criticized at the time.
Bradley has been bad too but the sample size is tiny.
$16 million for Anderson, Moore, Kintzler and Bradley. Ouch.
