Not sure what to say. Phillies split series in Chicago which is what I said was an acceptable result with a tough team like the Cubs. A loss today after going up 7-0 would have been horrendous.
In fact, Phillies give the Cubs a tough battle and could have won the Tuesday game with a scoreless ninth inning.
Neris got the four outs but got careless with a pitcher pinch hitting there in the last inning. He did a good job coming back with runners on second and third to nail it down.
Phillies pitchers walked 8 today and 7 came after the Phillies had build up that 7 run lead. That just is unacceptable and really helped the Cubs mount a come back that came up a little short.
On to Milwaukee where things don't get any easier.
Atlanta and SF tied 4-4 in the 8th. Mets beat Washington, 6-4.
