I know we've seen some ugly plays and the advanced metrics aren't that friendly either but seems to me changing your starting CF and making both your CF and LF defense worse when you have the best record in baseball and a great offense that doesn't need to upgrade its #9 hitter isn't the greatest idea.

But, alternately, the team is doing so well they could risk it, if it's best for him and the long-term. Just means we'd watch the same sort of performance from Pache, except we're not trying to develop him for years to come, and if not that ugly stuff from anyone other than Marsh in LF.

He's developing at the major league level. I'm sure the Phillies expected some rough spots, not sure why our fans here don't.

As you state, we can afford to watch this play out because the team has been great. Some of the more level-headed posters here said he'd be fine if he could get north of .600 OPS and play good defense. He's been hovering around that mark all season. Missed a few balls, but does anyone remember the great ones he's made?

Have some patience guys. If the Phils deem he'll do better with some AAA time, he'll go there. If not, we're still good.
