We could have had Cristian Bethancourt for what, four seasons now? But most back-up catchers are fungible and getting a decent one to take the job backing up JT is difficult. It's actually not that hard to understand because he was obviously great (even if was luck) his first year and is still really good at handling the pitchers both on the field and behind the scenes.
Just give him the bullpen coaching job next year!
