Well, we can't know what would have happened if he had made the Opening Day roster in a normal season. Right or wrong, intentional or not, everything worked out rather well in terms of getting people used to the idea that he would play again. But it also wasn't wrong for Haseley and Joyce to beat him out, and to not use a 40-man spot on him at that time. It was obviously wrong to try Kingery first. (Edit: meant Moniak)
As Kruk said tonight, letting Anderson bat now looks dumb, he didn't get another out, allowed a run, and didn't help them score one.
