A sad loss that really could have been a win with a little luck and fielding. Four errors are always problematic. Not getting a single in the game is unusual. All five hits for the Phillies were extra base hits, 3 home runs and 2 doubles.
Nola takes the loss and giving up 9 hits looks bad, but most were not well hit. That's baseball. Somedays, it just happens. Those two extra runs in the sixth sealed the Phillies' fate.
Let's hope for a couple more wins on this road trip. Tomorrow would be a good day to get one. Los Angeles is going to be tough.
