Right there's nothing stopping them from negotiating during the season if both sides want that and hitting the open market might not be the best move for him (he'd have a QO, Alonso didn't have much interest) but the Phillies still gotta make it worth his while (and he's far more attractive than Alonso right now even w/o the 1B component).
