Ten hits, two home runs and four runs is plenty when the pitching is good.

Outstanding job from Strahm (4 innings), Bellatti, Alvarado, and Brogden (2 innings). Kimbrel survived the ninth but he sure scares me. He had a 4 run lead and managed to face the tying run before getting the third out.

Great to get this first win of the season. Need another tomorrow afternoon.

Didn't realize Straham had this kind of velo, he seems a lot like Walker, "junk ball" pitchers with more than junk ball velo.
Suddenly, if Ranger can come back in a week or so, the SP could be excellent this season, going six deep, giving the young pitchers time to develop.
Kimbrel will be pitching in the 7th inning shortly, he doesn't have closer stuff anymore.

Marsh has some power, that was a shot!

That's not how this works, if you're pitching with a four-run (non-save situation) in the 9th you're already not one of the top three pitchers (even if the stakes felt high, and availability is also an issue).

Problem is with Strahm starting he will be used in more key spots. And if Soto stinks too, well....
