It's funny that Girardi got so mad that the umpire warned both benches - when arguably only the Cardinals deserved it - but doing so accomplished exactly what it was supposed to, the Phillies weren't going to retaliate.
But also: A) that kind of thinking is a macho relic from the days when you were also supposed to play with a concussion
and
B) You don't do it in a 4-3 game. If anything you do it tomorrow. Will be interesting to see if the game starts with a warning.
Fun game IMO, I heard us go down 3-1 on the radio, I heard the HBPs and the Cutch hit on the radio, and then I came home and got to watch some surprisingly great, if sometimes tense relief pitching.
This was supposed to be the hardest game to win - VV on the mound, hollowed-out line-up, and we lose Bryce late to boot. Now Nola has to match Wheeler.
