It's a little too soon to give up on Bohm too. He's hitting .375 in the past week, not even including today. But whether they win a championship or miss the playoffs, there are a lot of variables and possible changes to consider going forward (and also maybe at the deadline).

I gave up on him long ago. One nice run - for him - of a couple of months does not make up for the rest of his career as a slow, poor-fielding, no power corner player that also isn't an on base machine. Even during his hot streak, nine of those traits disappeared.

Well, that's fair enough, but I still think the 105-110 OPS+ Bohm is probably the Phillies' best option, as there's also no reason to think Turner would be good defensively at 3B, nor to think Sosa would hit as the full-time shortstop.

But mostly there's just too many other holes, both in the OF and in the collection of RHBs, to not try and squeeze what they can from Bohm and Turner for a couple of more months. The current W-L record is still no reason to panic.
