SSS of course but Hale's been better than I would have expected this year. I think any one of our relievers could have given up that grand slam. The earned runs still tell the real story of what went wrong there.
If Joe had wanted to treat that as a high-leverage spot he might have gone with Kintzler, and he probably trusted Hale more than Howard. But all the issues we've seen recently come back to losing two of our three best relievers (which is also 25% of the entire bullpen).
Unfortunately our ability to come back depends on seeing more HRs from Harper and Hoskins, the 7-8-1 hitters sure ain't gonna do it.
