Castellanos with 6 outs today in 5 AB. Horrendous game. If Pache was playing better he could have stolen his spot in the starting lineup.

Back to back, well earned loses for the Phillies.

Phillies outplayed by the Reds and IMO, outmanaged by the Reds as well.

Positives tonight include a solid 5 innings from Turnbull and a hot bat from Bohm.

Our bullpen is overrated.

Seranthony is a key cog, and he was obviously bad tonight (with help from Strahm). Soto has had a blowup game previously, too. Your bad bullpen outings can't be giving up 3 or 4 runs in an inning, it pretty much determines the game outcome in one inning. I don't know if the bullpen is overrated per se, or that bullpens in general have a really high variance from year to year and rating them is subject to lots of statistical variability.

On another note, I would DFA Pasche and start platooning Castellanos with Clemens when Harper returns. He's really a rally-killer right now.

Is there any way Dominguez can be sent to LHV to work on things? Options? It worked for Alvarado a couple of years ago.

It might be time (after a few easy outings) to get Kerkering into some higher leverage situations.

Bohm playing out of his mind, great to see continued growth from him with the glove and bat (just keep him away from 1B).

Turnbull with another decent start; bullpen failed him and the team

With Harper and JT out, it is even harder to carry the dead weight of Casty. Merrifield & Pache hardly providing any comfort from the bench. And, wow, Stubbs with a .301 OPS. That is hard to do even as a scrub backup C.

Rojas comes through. Getting very close to “locking up” the starting job, which is bad news for Pache. He may become expendible

I reckon that is ultimately good news for Pache. Plenty of teams out there with more playing time for him whether off the bench or as a platoon CF. Phillies aren't even willing to play him over Merrifield or Casty when it would probably be about equal right now.
