Wouldn't have predicted in after the first inning, but a quality start from Nola.

A good win after falling behind in the top of the first. Nola pitched well after the 3 run home run and goes 7 innings, giving up only one more hit after the home run in the first. Dominguez and Alvarado with hitless, scoreless innings, so pitching was solid after the 3 runs.

Phillies fight back to score 4 on 9 hits and leave 10 on base. Sure great to have Sosa back in the lineup. He drives in the winning run in the 8th. Schwarber tied game the previous inning with his solo home run.

Record now 9-12.

For people who view trades with a zero-sum mindset looks like we beat the Cardinals in that Romero for Soto trade. And, the 2016 draft is just a little less of a washout.

Assume you mean Sosa there. Still could be a trade that works out for both teams. Romero looks like he is putting together his command again. Remember last year was his first year back from TJ surgery. He looked decent for Mexico in the WBC this spring and then dominated in AAA before they called him up. He has more years of control than Sosa left and is still only 26. It does look like we found a player in Sosa that was valued too low after a slump, but Romero is not nothing either.
