Nice to see the move to Alvarado as a closer, much better choice.

Good pitching and enough offense. A solid win.

Phillies take 2 of 3 to win the series.

Record moves to 8-11.

Home for 4 games with the Rockies.

Marsh, Stott, Bohm, and Turner all top 25 in batting average for MLB. (Only Marsh among the top 25 in OBP.)

Stott starts a new hitting streak today

I don't think they have a closer, Alvarado and SD will alternate, but if Kimbrel keeps pitching like this he'll get a shot, as well Soto at some point if he keeps it up. And Brogdon, when his changeup is working, can do it as well. Not a bad problem to have! Definitely a step up from the bullpens of the last few seasons.

It has been a great start for those guys....just imagine if Schwarber, Castellanos and Realmuto were hitting more consistently. Unfortunately, we have Cave and Harrison to even things out.

With Harper and Hall back by July, that's a short-term issue.
Guthrie and Muzzioti are both off to good starts in LHV, so Caves is probably on a short leash.

Marsh, Stott and Bohm are a nice young core to complement the aging veterans.
The one issue I have so far is the lack of plate discipline.
