Cotham is obviously excellent and comes from the Vanderbilt family tree (the guy at the top of that tree is still with the Reds). I think the addition of Brian Kaplan prior to 2022 as the assistant pitching coach and minor league pitching director has also been huge.

Of course there was nowhere to go but up after 2018-2020.
