I think we might be witnessing the beginning of the end for this core roster. I'm partially saying this tomgue-in-cheek because I said the same thing about Jalen Hurts early in the season last year when he did not look good and we know how that turned out.
With that said, I really do not want to see mediocrity this year and them tanking eight now might be more of a blessing than staying afloat and losing early again in the playoffs. Either they make a big splash at the trade deadline to help push them over the edge, or more likely, it's time we trade and say goodbye to Bohm, Schwarber, Realmuto, Nola, Suarez, and possibly others. If we go full sell I could see the Phils getting a decent haul and you'd still have Wheeler, Harper, and Turner.
This is where I'm at anyway. Sadly.
