It's a six-hitter line-up with Segura but they still really need that seventh hitter (whether it's at 3B or SS). And to win a lot of 6-5 games they might need eight.
The cynic in me thinks this front office put a whole lot more faith in best-case-scenarios than was wise, like many a Phillies front office before it. The idea that Didi would bounce back, that Vierling is an everyday player, that Stott could be a ROTY candidate, that Bohm would be okay (though that is one thing they didn't seem to plan on). Heck, Schwarber is still just one year away from having been non-tendered!
But they don't lack for options (maybe Didi just fades away and Herrera should helps), I do think they'll hit, and the pitching doesn't actually look so bad that it seems like they should have spent more there instead.
