OK, this is obscure, but... It appears that mlb.com determines what it thinks your location is by looking at your IP address. Now, your home devices should all be showing the same IP address, if they're all accessing the 'net through the same router. However, it also seems that mlb.com can mis-determine a device's location based on what DNS servers that device is using - I don't know why, but I've seen that referenced. I would assume that your iPad and iPhone are just using whatever DNS server is set up on your router (it would not be trivial to have specified a different DNS server on those devices), but it's not all that uncommon for a laptop to have its network configuration pointed at different DNS servers - for instance, I know that mine is (I've experimented with several different DNS providers over the years, since Verizon's default DNS servers tended to have too-frequent unresponsive periods). This probably NOT the source of your problem - but I'd check it anyway...particularly if you've moved since you got/set up the laptops that are having problems - they may be carrying old DNS server pointers.
