Philadelphia Phillies
New York Mets
This may be the worst I have seen from the Phillies offense since that stretch in late June of 2010 when they couldn't score (got shut out an entire series at Citi Field).
No hits through three.
Pretty much all of them. At least 9. It is ugly, I agree with you. One of the obvious failings of this season is we counted on our 4 starters at the trade deadline to all survive until the end of the season, which was a dream. Should have picked up another starter then, but we didn’t. Now we see why.
Jeez - these hitters, my goodness, they are in such a rush to start the offseason.
I was at one of those games. Ben Francisco did hit one off what used to be the "Great Wall of Flushing" that would be a homer in that stadium now, they have those seats in front of that wall now. Could use a little Ben Francisco magic right now.

If we bring in a reliever who is going to walk the leadoff batter?
Should’ve started the inning with Hoffman

7 baserunners.
Thomson should be fired for this. He continues to watch until after the house is on fire.
Suarez has struck out every Met but Nimmo so far, they said on the radio, but that's not right
J.D. Martinez
Ball (93. mph four-seam fastball)Ball (90.5 mph sinker)In play, out(s) (90.9 mph sinker)
J.D. Martinez grounds into a double play, shortstop Trea Turner to second baseman Bryson Stott to first baseman Bryce Harper. Pete Alonso out at 2nd. J.D. Martinez out at 1st.
Lol three innings in the books - more than what I had hoped from Suarez.
Actually, it was late May. A six game stretch from May 25 through May 30 when they scored a grand total of four runs. Halladay's perfect game was in the middle of it and they only won that one 1-0. That skid got Milt Thompson fired as hitting coach.
That was crazy. Turner with an awful toss. Stott saved a run probably. Defense matters.
Glad Stott was in the game for that play.
I thought Turner tossed it into right field.
