That was the best part of the announcers rhapsodizing about Pujols and Molina instead of celebrating the team that just won. I was like, "yep: those fans may never see those guys play another inning."

I will be quite content if I never hear ARod announcing again. He is a disgrace to the game and ESPN should be ashamed they are employing him.

One comment I heard on WIP was that we were lucky that it was Pujols on first base because he is not a base stealing threat. I do think Nola tends to fret too much once someone gets on base, which leads to a bad inning. Next year’s rules about tosses to first should help that.

It's not that Nola gets doesn't pitch as we because he is distracted about runners on base, it's that he does not pitch as well out of the stretch vs. the windup.
