From at least one angle it looked like his bat crossed the plate. Not sure his intent matters?

Had 'em all the way, Harry!
And now my game 5 tickets will not invove watching the Padres eliminate us.
... nope, he got 6 outs. That is all I remember
Wow! I can't imagine Seranthony will pitch tomorrow, but it was worth it.
The guy's a genius
In Rob (and Caleb) we trust!
Crazy is that Segura is probably player of the game. Or SD
Great win! Dominguez gets the six out save.
Tomorrow should be interesting.
WOW! I think Thomson should get the benefit of the doubt. We dont know the alternatives, but his decisions are mostly working. Serathony is definitely unavailable tomorrow and I'd be inclined to to give Alvarado the night off and hope to have him in game 5 and maybe game 6, but who knows. LETS GO!
I don't think he would have pitched tomorrow anyway. Alvarado, either if he doesn't have to. Ideally it's an 8-4 game regardless of who wins. It pays off in Game 5 if they win the series with those two guys fresh, or it pays off in Games 6-7 because they are available to pitch three days in a row at that point.
Tomorrow we're crushing them by a comfortable margin.
I agree el-p, Thomson has been somewhere between very smart and genius from day 1
I mean, I don't want to jinx it, but that's the 2008 formula isn't it? And then a tight one in Game 5. There might even be rain.
Hes either very smart, or very lucky. But whichever one is fine with me. Two wins away....!
I think we might see Alvarado briefly tomorrow if the situation arises. That's how Thomson rolls.
Oh I think every reliever is available for games 5-7 in a long series. If it goes 7 Wheeler even gets the save on short rest.
Also, no other good LHPs.
I thought the check swing was a good call. It is where the bat was and not his wrists. Close but the bat did cover the plate. If that was an attempted bunt it would have been an obvious strike.
