To be clear I consider it a good thing, and progress, that it was universally celebrated (as far as I know). Just not sure the double standard is gone.
And, let's face it, if that had been Harper and he was still playing for the Nationals we would have HATED it. It's kind of hard to say whether Harper has genuinely become more likable, and his showmanshp more accepted by baseball, or if it just feels that way because he's ours and we love him now.
