At least they can take Soto out at any time; f they brought in a new pitcher and he struggles, he has to stay in for three batters. On the other hand, if Soto struggles, then the next pitcher will have to face three hitters. But there are no scary LH hitters left for the Braves unless Albies bats again.

Now Strahm comes in with a couple runners on base. If Soto really is not that good against right hand hitters, he should not have been back out there this inning.

Yes, pitcher does not have to face 3 if he ends an inning. Soto did not have to start the ninth.

I think you can only remove a pitcher when he ends the inning, ending an inning doesn't lower the total number if you leave him in.

nope. if he comes back out he has to face a total of 3 hitters between the prior inning and the current inning. Or at least thats what TMac said during broadcasts this year
