Yes, but they “cleaned out” so many older players. The defense is incredibly young, only the recent FA pickups and Baun are not on rookie deals. The defense may actually be better this year, and it was ranked #1 last year. If Carter plays anything like he did in the playoffs and a few games before teams are going to need stools and whips to keep him from destroying every play.
I said at the end of last year this was probably my favorite team even before the Super Bowl because it is so many young, hungry guys. Well, maybe they aren’t as hungry, but trust me when I say Hurts could win 15 Super Bowls and he would want #16.
