I give. What is EPA and what do each side of the graph measure?

EPA is a football analytic like WAR, except adjusted to plays ... EPA is expected points added per play based on the situation before and after the play (not on the actual points scored). x-axis is EPA/play for offense, y-axis is EPA per play for defense. You want to be in the upper right, subtracting points on defense and adding them on offense.

Sure but the Jags, Lions and Vikings are all on the positive side of the offensive EPA graph…where would they all have been if they didn’t have to face the Eagles?

The Lions offense might’ve been better against the Eagles than in their other games.

Lions had no St. Brown and Swift last week and still scored 45 points. They are pretty good.

Close game yesterday, but Eagles prevailed. Missed kick would have tied it with seconds left. This season kind of has a 2017 feeling to it. That said, I'm not rooting for Hurts to get hurt and Minshew to win the Super Bowl, but the team is off to a 5-0 start which is only surpassed by the 81 team that opened 6-0 and the 2004 team which opened 7-0. Big test next week, The Cowboys are playing well and they come in here for Sunday Night Football and a battle for first place as they are right on our heals at 4-1 (so are the Giants, amazingly too).

Games are getting closer. Cowboys coming to town and the stadium will be rocking. if the eagles give rush time to throw even he can pick them a part. a lot of open receivers yesterday. injured offensive line will be a problem. will they get to 6-0....... not this year. cowboys defense is the best they will face yet.

Patriots solved the Lions' offense yesterday, shutting them out in New England. Swift was still out, and St. Brown was back but not 100%, but still an accomplishment by NE. Game was closer than the score (yards gained were within 10% for each team) but NE kept Detroit away from the end zone.

DeSean Jackson wants to play for the Eagles again. I would consider bringing him in just to return punts at least until he pulls a hamstring and then bring Covey back.

Some roster moves. OL Dillard recalled from IR, DE Robinson moved to IR. S Chachere elevated from the practice squad for tomorrow night's game. Practice squad OL Williams was added to the practice squad IR.

The final injury report is good news, only back CB Jobe is listed as questionable, all the starters are full go.

I hate the bye being this early, but Lane being concussed, will help him get completely through the protocol before the next game and all the other players nagging injuries will get some extra healing time as well. Steelers in two weeks, but it also allows the Phillies to have the spotlight to themselves for what is hopefully their championship run.

Eagles trade a 4th round pick to the Bears for DE Robert Quinn.

Not a bad deal at all. He can rush the passer, and the cost is fairly low.

He was a monster last year (18.5 sacks); he has one so far in 7 games. I'm cautiously optimistic, though, hoping he will find his game here.

The eagles game today has to be one of the first times (if not the first) that a team scored 35 points, all on offense and only ran one play in the red zone the entire game (Sanders ran for a TD).

I hope the Steelers return to their normal very good team soon, they seem to have a lot of problems. Kenny Pickett played well, but they are not really a threat in any way in the field.

And if AJ Brown had not been caught from behind the play before Sanders' run they would have had 5 TDs with no red zone!
