I mean, all true, but he broke his wrist in 2015, fractured rib in 2016, knee in 2017, back in 2018, head in 2019 (2020 playoffs on the calendar). And apparently a broken foot that predates his college career.

Yeah, he seeks out the contact but he was always that kind of QB - 138 rushes his junior year, and 63 in just 7 games his senior year. Not sure the Eagles tried to coach him otherwise (or get him enough help, ultimately).

Won't be any real consolation if he's the next RGIII, would have been nice to have the pick but the protection was there for a reason.

I had the same thought, and in both cases their body can't seem to handle their style of play, though I think Wentz has more of a choice.

I’m Great to see my childhood idol, Big Harold, get into the Hall. It is ridiculous that a guy who retired 7th in receptions and 7th in TD’s had to wait this long.

I have seen multiple interviews with him over the years, and it is heart warming to know that I picked my hero this well. Guy is simply a humble, classy guy in every way. It is easy to see why so many players have so much positive to say about him. I still can’t help but wonder if Chip Kelly didn’t say or do something that made him quietly retire, but still he has been a complete professional throughout 40+ years with the team.

Ertz will most likely pass him in career recptions this year. I guarantee Harold is both gracious and complimentary about it.

Quez Watkins not only had one big play but he seemed like our biggest threat all day.

Reagor continues to be meh.

Hurts gets an incomplete. 3/7 but one was a smart throw away, one bad drop by Ertz, not enough info to assess.

LB’s seemed to have a very good day.

Mullen’s might need competition at 3rd QB. He was laughably bad. I wouldn’t be comfortable with him taking the field if he is going to perform like that. I would rather have a young QB learning than a veteran who can’t play.

Gannon and Siriano said post game that they wanted to know how certain bible guys would handle the situation. Would they give up or continue to play hard? Sort of an interesting approach to seeing which bubble guys might be willing to work like dogs to get better.

JJAW had a nice open field tackle and an assist on special teams.

Hightower is injured, week-to-week with a groin pull I believe.

I'm a Hurts fan, so my opinion may be skewed, but he was good last night. Ertz and Reagor had drops. The miss to Quez was because the DB forced Quez to the outside. The throw to Goedert was top notch.

The 1st half against the Pats hasn't been pretty so far. Alex Singleton and Milton Williams have looked really good.

Hate to say it, but it is really noticeable that our play callers don’t have any experience.

4th down, 1:15 to go, let clock run down hoping for them to jump, call timeout with 10 seconds left on play clock. Either run it down or dont, they obviously won’t jump with that much left on the play clock.

Once again, very tired defenders get left on the field and can’t get off on the snap. Rotation is all screwed up.

It is preseason, but hate seeing bad habits. Coordinators need preseason too and ours look like they need a lot of practice.

It's the preseason. I don't think the play calling or game management is of the utmost importance.

Yes, but it’s a very young and relatively inexperienced coaching staff. I think only one coordinator has previously held that job. Most were promotions of positions from coaches on other teams.

Lots of coaching mistakes that might just be letting things slide in the pre-season, but I would like to see them coach the team hard. When the coaches show they don't care about the game, the players don't either.

It is one thing for a Belicheck or Reid to kinda take the coaching / play calling part of preseason off, it is another when your play callers have never done it before. Just like the players, our coordinators are learning on the job, so I would think they should take this a little more seriously. I don’t care about winning / losing these games, neither should they, but making the “right” moves are part (or should be part) of this process for them. It just stands out to me that game time decisions really stand out as being not made.

Pretty hard to put a positive spin on a 35-0 drubbing, even if it is a meaningless preseason game. The Philly broadcast team made a point that the Eagles were better than the Patriots during the scrimmages on Monday and Tuesday with the 1s vs. 1s and 2s vs. 2s. Still, you have to squint pretty hard to see much good from what was on display on Thursday.
