Looks like the Bradham contract is pretty team friendly -- only $14M of $40 guaranteed and nothing after 2019. Salaries are backloaded -- $1M this year, then $8M, $8M, $8M and $10M. So the dead money after 2019 will only be the unamortized $5M signing bonus. So on an actual cash basis it works out to be $14M over two years.

LaGarrette Blount has signed with the Lions, he got a 1 year deal for 4.5 mil,no way the Eagles could have come close to those numbers. His streak of Super Bowl rings just ended, but nice to see him get paid.

This was predetermined. The Eagles gave him an overly rich extension which was too costly in the out years. He's still a good player. We'll have to wait to see if he made a mistake by not restructuring his deal.

So, what's left to do? Eagles have cap space to make 1-2 more smaller moves. I think the defense is just about set, now it's time to re-stock the offense after some of the guys they lost.

In no particular order...

Try to add one or two day two draft picks. Could still do it by trading Foles, Darby, possibly Kendricks.

Sign a bargain FA vet WR or TE. Jeremy Maclin anybody? Martellus Bennett? (Would like to still have a 4th round comp pick in 2019 draft.)

Extend one of the possible 2019 FA's, most likely Brandon Graham.

Draft--either stand pat at 32 or possibly trade down. Most likely positions: RB, LB, DL, OL

Reports are 1 year 2 mil base with another 2.5 in incentives, with that much in incentives, I imagine there are some easily reachable ones, and a couple tied to unreachable ones (like winning Super Bowl MVP or something like that).

Okay, just for fun, I'm going to suggest a ridiculous trade:

Carson Wentz, Michael Kendricks and 2018 Pick 32 to the Browns for 2018 Picks 1, 4, 35 and 65.

With the cap space saved you sign sign Maclin, Bennett and Sproles and extend Foles and Graham

You draft Barkely with the 1st pick and whichever the best QB available (one of Donald, Rosen and Allen) with the 4th pick, you pick Gesicki with the 35th pick and best available at 65.

It's an interesting proposal. If Eagles propose this to Cleveland and I'm Cleveland, I hang up on them. Cleveland wasn't ever that big on Wentz -- they were wrong, but... that was an extremely serious knee injury which Wentz sustained and nobody knows if he can return as the same guy and how much of an injury risk he is moving forward. It's possible that injury turned him into a better version of post-injury RG III. Going forward, Wentz's running is going to be significantly curtailed. We also don't know when Wentz is going to be able to start a game. If Cleveland proposes this to Eagles, I think they certainly have to think about it. Picks #1 and 4 are huge value, 35 is a wash for #32. Kendrick is not worth #65. This trade can't happen. As key as Wentz was for Eagles in 2017, he's not tradable until he proves he's healthy.

I disagree with this. I think 9/10 teams would trade for Wentz right now given the chance. That being said, I do agree with you that if you're Philly you have to think about this deal before saying no.

There's an equal or better chance that Wentz becomes the next Aaron Rodgers than he becomes "a better version of post-injury RG3."

Do people realize how good Carson Wentz is?

I think Wentz is still a better bet/risk than even the combination of Barkley and one of the three QBs.
