I loved Bob Uecker. His self-deprecating humor style always had me laughing. RIP.

I had the opportunity to meet Bob by being around a few of his family members in Wisconsin. The best thing about him was not his baseball career, announcing, television opportunities and such but his dedication to his family. He was always there for any and all of them. He was a great person who will be missed by many.

IIRC, Uke was pretty close with Dick Allen. They might have been roommates when the club was on the road.

Spent a couple of hours yesterday on YouTube watching Bob Uecker videos, especially his appearances on Carson. One of the funniest men [formerly] alive. Also loved Norm MacDonald's Uecker stories, showing more of his ribald side.

I am seeing on Facebook that phormer Phillies manager John Felske, who apparently lived pretty well out of the limelight in recent years passed away on November 30 of last year.
