I'm excited to be going to the All-Star Game, less than two weeks away (assuming that StubHub does not have the same problems with MLB that they had with FIFA...)!
I'm a bit disappointed that several of the game's superstars are hurt and unlikely to play (Judge, Jose Ramirez, Acuna, even Trout, who might enjoy playing in Philly even if not as a member of the Phils). I hope that most of the active future Hall of Famers get selected, even if they aren't having great years. Ohtani is a no brainer, and a few others are likely to be chosen--Freeman and Olson (though they have to include Harper as well). I want to see Mookie Betts, Juan Soto, and even Arenado. It's harder to expect all the pitching greats to be there. As cool as it was when Kershaw pitched last year, it's doubtful I'll see Scherzer or Verlander (still hurt, I think).
And of course I'll be thrilled to see Sánchez and Wheeler (assuming they are available), and Harper, Schwarber, Marsh, and Duran. Maybe even Luzardo. If the game weren't in Philly, I think Miz would be a shoo-in as the NL starter, but Sánchez has a good chance.
