We don't really have a minor league Spring thread so this is as good as any. Gelb has a nice piece today on minor leaguers in camp. Lots on Caba (who apparently had TJ surgery in August on his non-throwing arm but is 100% back now). Rickardo Perez back from suspension too.
wonder how you snap a ligament on your non throwing arm...
batting? weightlifting? can opener?
That is what Rhys Hoskins did back in 2020 I think.
Minor league Spring games start Tuesday.
Yay...let's hope our sources report results!
Guessing Steve Potter will be there most days.
Here you go. Bryson Ware 3-4. Aidan Miller 3 run homer. 2 scoreless from Ottenbreit

Noticed that also. I am hoping he is a real sleeper. How many outfielders get converted to SS and actually seem likely to stick in the infield somewhere? He really looks like a prospect that was not on many teams' high end radar then showed up as the rare HS player in the draft league which is made up of mostly second tier college players.

Just FYI but the regular games start
Clearwater: Friday April 5th (at Bradenton)Jersey Shore: Friday April 5th (home v. Aberdeen)Reading: Friday April 5th (at Bowie)Lehigh Valley: Friday March 29th (home v. Worcester)
I was just asking if the guys on the bubble might still get on the plane to Philly tomorrow; given the LV schedule I would think yes.

Looks like Jaydenn Estanista is over last year's minor injury issues.
Jaydenn Estanista signed with the Phillies out of Curacao in November of 2019. Strikes have been an issue but he was landing his stuff in the zone yesterday. Sat 93-95 mph T96 mph up to 20 IVB with cut, cutter at 89 mph primary secondary. #Phillies pic.twitter.com/ehKMHqVre0— Geoff Pontes ( @GeoffPontesBA ) March 25, 2024

What position do we think Saltiban ends up at? He probably does not have the defense to ever supplant Rojas or Crawford in CF. I guess he is the offensive oriented option at SS if guys like Rincon and Caba never hit enough. He is the epitome of just drafting an athlete with all around baseball skills that could really fit almost anywhere.
