The whole team still had shooting problems from 3, though. Amazing they won a road game against a decent team with George 0/5 from 3, Embiid 0/5, and Maxey 3/12. If they actually start hitting they'll be burying teams.

Agree. Rest PG and Maxey as much as possible. There are players in the top 4 of the draft (Flagg, Bailey, Demin, Jakucionis) who can help them win next year.

Weird first game back for Robo-Embiid.

Late in the 3rd quarter… 7 assists, 0 Rebounds. I doubt he has ever had a stat line like that for this long.

Embiid gets ejected from the Spurs game, but Maxey strong down the stretch and Sixers hold on to win 111-106. Sixers finally reach 10 wins.

Weird, but successful strategy against the Spurs. You would think the one thing you would need is your Center on the court against Wembanyama, but Embiid played 14 minutes (ejected) and Drummond 7. I guess they went small on him, which may not be crazy since he is so athletic.
Didn’t watch, was it Yabuselle on him most of the time (very high for him 32 minutes)?

Yabusele played him well, Wemby settled for being a 3-point bomber in the game (he shot reasonably, but did not hurt the Sixers on the boards). Drummond hurt his toe, rumored to be kicking the locker after being ejected when Wemby flopped. His ridiculous ejection was rescinded, they called Wemby for a flop technical, Sixers shot it, then the refs took the point off the board and rescinded Wemby's T as well for no clear reason.

Not a good day in Philly for refs.

I thought Wemby just tripped on the play that resulted in premature eject-ulation of Drummond, no flop involved. Refs seemed to agree that replay showed the same.
Yabu is rightfully emerging as a fan favorite with his hustle and joy and different body type

Even the San Antonio announcers called it a flop. On the first one Wemby pivots on his heels and topples over making no attempt to keep his balance, on the second one he pushes off Drummond and goes down without contact, and is called for a flop by the review crew.
