18 additional months of physical maturity from younger players as opposed to 6 since we saw them last means we should have a greater number of pop up players than usual. Especially among 18 and 19 year old pitchers who are now 20 and 21. The bats might be a little behind since they did not get the game reps to go along with their own physical development.
In general, expect more pop up surprises and unfortunately failures too, as guys are jumped a level higher than they should, so we'll find out really quickly how someone does in Reading after being in Lakewood or Clearwater for a partial season.
