Again, if Butler or Harris leave with the 76ers getting nothing, that is a failure. Very simple concept.
These players are valuable assets and we gave up good value to get them.
Of course, players can make choices; the point is the 76ers made these moves (hopefully) with purpose and plans to re-sign those players, but also make a strong case to them for staying here. We can offer them the best deal and need to use that to make the case.
I supported the trade for Butler, but was not fan of the Harris trade. It has really limited our optionality and ability to build a deep talented roster. However, now that the 76ers have done it, they need to make the best of the situation.
