Yes, I don't see the Giants fooling themselves about the current roster based on some fluky years from some veterans in a short season. They're still running out the clock on the long-term deals for the core of the 2010-2014 glory days, and the vets added in the unsuccessful attempt to keep the glory days going. They're getting closer to the end though:
Bumgarner left last off-season
Samardzjia is gone this year
Posey, Cueto, Belt, and Crawford at the end of 2021 (assuming some options don't get picked up, which seems safe to assume)
Longoria at the end of 2022
The Giants seem unlikely to have interest in Realmuto given that their top prospect is catcher Joey Bart. Bart struggled in limited time in MLB in 2020, but he really should have been in AAA this season, so I don't expect the Giants to change their evaluation of him at this point.
